Note:
ikura has two meanings. One is salmon roe, the other is how much.
When you mean salmon roe, put the emphasis on KU. Otherwise, emphasis should be on I.
Other tricky words are:
aji -- can mean taste or horse mackerel.
sake -- can mean salmon or Japanese wine.
