miso-shiru Miso soup.  Miso is fermented soy beans.  Often served with rice.
nigiri Bite-size, hand-shaped vinegared rice with a slice of raw fish on top.  More...
o-cha Tea in general.  Sushi restaurants usually serve powdered green tea.
o-kaikei The bill.
oshi-zuishi Rice pressed in squares.  More...
shoga Ginger or pickled ginger.
shoyu Soy sauce.
wasabi Japanese horseradish. Official name is Wasabia japonica.

Note:
ikura has two meanings.  One is salmon roe, the other is how much.
When you mean salmon roe, put the emphasis on KU.  Otherwise, emphasis should be on I.

Other tricky words are:
aji -- can mean taste or horse mackerel.
sake -- can mean salmon or Japanese wine.

            
Basic Phrases Used When Eating Japanese Food

Arigato Thank you.
Gochiso-sama No equivalent translation. This phrase is used when finishing the entire meal.  Roughly, it means "that was a nice meal."
Ikura-desuka? How much? See note below.
Ita-daki-masu No equivalent translation. This phrase is used when starting to eat meals.  Roughly, it means "I humbly eat this meal."
Kore This.
Oishii Delicious.
Onegai-shimasu Please.
Sumi-masen Excuse me.
Umai Yummy.
